Learn your A’s and B’s and Open your Heart
Surya Namaskara A and B are the foundation of any yoga practice. Melanie will walk you through the basic sequence of the sun salutations. from samasthiti toclaturanga dandasana. up dog and down dog. After warming up our bodies we will start to explore back bending and heart opening. Melanie will explain how to open the shoulders and access the upper back so you can get the most out of your backbends.

Full Primary Series
Known as Yoga Chik1tsa (Yoga Therapy). Ashtanga Yoga’s Primary Series is a set
sequence of postures designed to bring strength, flexibility and endurance to one’s body as well as a sense of peace to the mind. This class will teach the fundamentals of ashtanga yoga, sun salutations, ujjayi breath, bandhas and vinyasas. Melanie will lead you through full primary series.
1:30 P.M. – 3:30 P.M. – $40
Asana Doctor
Melanie will explore the asanas ill detail, l1ow the chakras relate to posture alignment and
answer any questions about posture execution. This class will involve some practice.

Intro to Mysore Style, Primary Series
Another great opportunity to practice the primary series with Melanie. This session will incorporate the Mysore style, a method of teaching Ashtanga that allows each student to practice at their own pace and allows the teacher to assist each student individually taking into account each students’ body by giving physical adjustments & verbal instruction.
