Our new yoga studio and home away from home is getting closer!! I can’t wait! Besides a beautiful new studio it will have a comfy lounge area, two full co-ed bathrooms, a meditation room and a full spectrum infrared sauna. It will allow have one flex office that I would like to rent to an individual with a like minded business such as a massage therapist, MSW, Writer etc. If you know of anyone that might be reign for the space please send them my way.
Temporary Studio
AYR will temporarily be housed just next door to our current location — the same floor and building, only the other door at the top of the stairs. To this end AYR will be closed Monday February 1st, for the move. It will be an adventure reminiscent of Guruji’s original shala in Mysore with could fit only twelve students at a time. It was awesome!
Sunday Morning Mysore
I foresee student attendance posing a problem only for Sunday morning Mysore. to mitigate this, Sunday morning Mysore will begin at 8:45 am. This is only while we are in our temporary home. Students that can start at this time should to prevent student overflow, students will simply do what we did in Mysore — wait for a spot to open up.
Bathroom
We will no longer have access to the shower. No one will miss this more than me as I shower more often at the studio than at my own home. Alas, a good old fashion spit bath will have to suffice for a short time. the courtyard bathroom will be available for our use.
Shoes, Mats and Personal Items
Shoes will still be place in the hallway closet. Personal mats must be takes home by this Friday. I have noticed that since I requested this a few months ago personal mats have been creeping their way back into the closet, this can no longer happen. The only personal mats to be left in the closet should belong to AYR teachers. Rental mats will also be in the closet. Please leave all personal items except valuables in the closet. Take valuables with you into the studio.
Sharing Our Home
To get into our temporary studio we will walk through the office of Cure. Most of the time AYR hours will not overlap with their hours but please do not touch any of their office equipment and be considerate of the shared space.
