Authorization under Pattabhi Jois was likened to working towards a Bachelor’s degree with no guarantee it would lead to Certification.
The yoga studio in Mysore, India, once headed by Pattabhi Jois is now the domain of his grandson, Sharath Jois. It is suggested that the once source of this method, Pattabhi Jois, has moved on from his Mysore Institute to his Certified instructors as well as to Sharat.
Today, Certification and Authorization from the Mysore Institute is now in the hands of Sharath.
